By using Noticed, you're agreeing to these terms. If something here doesn't sit right, don't use the app and tell us what bothered you — we'd rather know.
What this is
Noticed is a personal wellness coaching app, operated by an individual founder based in Mountain View, California. It is not a medical device, not a licensed health service, and not a substitute for professional care. The coach is an AI system, not a human therapist or doctor, and should be understood as such.
You use it to notice patterns in your own life, have conversations about how you're doing, and (optionally) log workouts and meals. That's the whole shape of the product.
Not medical advice
This is important. Nothing the coach says is medical advice. The coach has no medical training and no awareness of your medical history beyond what you tell it. If you have a health concern — physical or mental — talk to a qualified human professional.
If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, the app will surface appropriate crisis resources (988 in the US, equivalents elsewhere), but it is not a crisis line and should not be used as one.
Who can use it
You need to be at least 16 years old. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian aware that you're using it.
We may decline to let you use the app, suspend your account, or terminate your access if you use it in ways that harm us or other users — abuse the AI system to generate disallowed content, attempt to exploit the service technically, harass the founder, or violate any law in doing so.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure. Don't share your account. If you think someone else has accessed it, email us right away.
If you delete your account, we delete your data within 24 hours, permanently. There's no recovery after that. (See privacy policy for details.)
Subscriptions and payment
The plans
- Annual — $99/year, with a 7-day free trial.
- Monthly — $12.99/month.
- Lifetime — $199 one-time, limited to the first 200 supporters.
Pricing is shown openly on the paywall before you commit. Apple or Google sets the regional equivalent in your local currency.
How payment works
Payment is processed by Apple (on iOS) or Google (on Android) through their in-app purchase systems. We don't see your card details. We don't have a billing system of our own.
If you subscribed on iOS, your subscription is managed in your Apple ID settings. If on Android, in your Google Play account.
Renewal
Annual and monthly subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. We send you a heads-up 48 hours before any annual renewal so you can decide whether to continue. You'll never be surprised by a charge if you're paying attention to your email.
Cancellation
Cancel any time in your Apple/Google subscription settings (the app links you there directly). Your access continues until the end of the current billing period, then stops cleanly. No fees, no clawbacks, no penalty.
Pausing
You can pause your access (no pushes, no presence) for 30, 60, or 90 days from in-app Settings. Heads up: your subscription still bills normally during a pause — Apple and Google don't let us suspend billing. If you want billing to stop, cancel instead. We tried to find a way around this and there isn't one.
Refunds
Refunds are processed by Apple and Google, not by us. They have their own refund policies and we encourage you to use them.
That said: if you have a refund request and Apple/Google declined it for any reason, email us. We'll process it on our side (refund whatever portion went to us, and mark your access as expired). This is friend voice applied to billing — we'd rather refund you and have a clean separation than fight about a small amount.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Try to extract the AI model's instructions, jailbreak it, or use it to generate disallowed content (illegal, harmful, explicit, etc.).
- Reverse-engineer the app or attempt to access systems beyond your own account.
- Use automated scripts to log meals/workouts/chats at a volume that suggests bot activity.
- Harass the founder, the AI system, or other users via any contact channel.
- Resell, sublicense, or rebrand any part of the service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in any of the above.
Your content
You own what you type, log, photograph, and tell the coach. We have a license to process that content to provide the service — this is what makes the coach able to remember your life event from last week. That license ends when you delete your account or the specific content.
We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not sell your content. We do not publish your content.
About the AI
The coach is powered by large language models (currently Anthropic's Claude family) operating with custom instructions, tools, and access to your data within the app. It can make mistakes. It may occasionally say something that's wrong, confused, or unhelpful.
When it does, use your judgment. If something it says contradicts professional medical guidance you've received, follow the professional guidance. If something it says feels off, tell it — you can correct it directly, and that correction informs future conversations.
Changes to the service
We may change, add, or remove features over time. If a change materially reduces what you get for what you're paying, we'll email you at least 30 days in advance and you can cancel before it takes effect with a prorated refund.
Routine updates (bug fixes, performance, small improvements) don't trigger this notification — those happen continuously.
If we end the relationship
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in ways that risk harm to others or to us. If we do, we'll tell you why, give you a chance to retrieve your data, and process a prorated refund of any unused subscription period (except in cases of egregious misuse).
You can end the relationship any time by canceling your subscription and deleting your account.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is." We do our best to make it accurate, reliable, and useful, but we can't guarantee it will always be available, free of bugs, or right about every observation it makes.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. This is the standard limitation for paid software services; it doesn't override your statutory consumer rights (which vary by jurisdiction and which we don't waive).
Indemnification
If your use of the service in a way that violates these terms causes a claim against us by a third party, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of defending against it. (This is boilerplate but it's worth being clear about.)
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California — except that if you're a consumer in a jurisdiction with specific protections (the EU, UK, etc.), those protections still apply and you can use your local courts.
When we change these terms
We'll email you at least 30 days before any material change. If you don't agree with the new terms, you can cancel before they take effect, and your final billing period is prorated.
