If anything here doesn't match how the app actually behaves, that's a bug — please tell us at hello@feelnoticed.com and we'll fix it.
What we collect
To make your account work
Your email address, and a unique identifier from our authentication provider (Clerk). That's the minimum we need to know it's you when you sign in on another device.
From your phone's health platform
With your explicit permission via Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), we read:
- Sleep — your sleep sessions, including stages (light, deep, REM, awake) and duration. That is all.
Sleep is the only thing we read. We do not read your steps, weight, workouts, heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen, nutrition, menstrual data, location, or any other health data — the app never even requests permission for them.
From things you actively tell the coach
Anything you type into the chat, including anything you tell it about what's going on in your life. If you don't have a wearable, the nights you log by hand.
The coach also maintains a small set of "memories" — facts about you it's noticed or that you've told it explicitly. You can read and edit these any time at Settings → Things I know about you.
About how you use the app
Pseudonymized usage events (which screens you opened, when, in what order). These help us know what's broken and what's working. They are not linked to your email or any other identifying information other than your internal user ID.
What we don't collect
Just so this is on the record:
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Your photos
- Your browsing history
- Your search history outside the app
- Any data that would let an advertiser identify or target you
- Any data about you that you didn't give us or grant access to
How we use what we collect
Only for these things:
- Running the coach. Your data feeds the coach's reasoning so it can give you useful observations and helpful conversations.
- Showing you your own history. Trends, past reviews — these are your data, surfaced for you to look at.
- Making the app work better. Bug reports, performance monitoring, fixing crashes. Always pseudonymized.
- Responding to you. When you email us, we reply. That's it.
Who we share it with
No one, in the way "share" usually means in privacy policies. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers, data brokers, "research partners," or affiliates. We don't have affiliates.
We do use a small number of service providers to operate the product. Each one only sees what they need to do their job:
- Clerk — handles authentication. Sees email and sign-in events.
- Neon (Postgres) — hosts our database. Stores everything but doesn't look at it.
- Vercel — hosts the API and website. Routes traffic; doesn't retain content.
- Anthropic — provides the language model that powers the coach. Receives your chat messages and the context the coach builds. Per Anthropic's data policy, they do not use API data to train their models.
- RevenueCat — handles subscription state with Apple and Google.
- Resend — sends you transactional emails (welcome, payment confirmations, etc.).
- Sentry — captures error reports. Chat content and health values are stripped before being sent.
- PostHog — pseudonymized usage analytics. Never sees chat content or health values.
We have data processing agreements with each of these providers. None of them has the right to use your data for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
- Account data (email, etc.) — as long as your account exists, plus 30 days after deletion for legal purposes, then gone.
- Sleep data — as long as your account exists. Deleted with your account.
- Chat messages — as long as your account exists. You can delete individual messages or clear your whole history any time in Settings.
- Pseudonymized usage events — 90 days, then deleted automatically.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:
- See what we have. Ask in chat ("what do you know about me?") or email us — we'll send you a complete export.
- Correct it. Anything you can edit in the app (memories, life events, logged data), edit. For things you can't directly edit, email us.
- Delete it. One tap in Settings, or via the deletion page. Account and all linked data gone within 24 hours.
- Take it with you. Export your full chat history, logged data, and memories as JSON, any time, from Settings.
- Restrict what we do. You can disable analytics, narrow which Health Connect/HealthKit fields we read, or pause all data ingestion while your account stays open.
If you're in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with specific data rights (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have all those rights plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if we don't honor them.
Children's privacy
This app is not for children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account immediately.
How we protect your data
- All connections are encrypted via TLS.
- Database is encrypted at rest.
- Access to production systems is restricted and logged.
- The founder is the only human with operational access.
- We don't have an office, a sales team, or anyone with a reason to look at your data who shouldn't.
No system is perfectly secure. If there's a breach that affects you, we'll notify you within 72 hours and tell you what happened and what to do.
When we change this
If we make a material change to this policy (something that affects what we collect, how we use it, or who sees it), we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the change will be summarized at the top of this page. You can always cancel before changes apply.
For minor changes (rewording, clarifying), we'll just update the date at the top.
Talking to us
Email hello@feelnoticed.com. One person reads everything. Responses are usually within a day or two.
For privacy-specific questions, you can also write privacy@feelnoticed.com — same inbox, same person, just a different label.
This policy is written in plain language because we want you to actually read it. If you need a more formal version for a legal purpose (an enterprise procurement review, for instance), email us and we'll provide one.
